MADI

Rooted in home, connected to the world

Maldives Association for Development Initiatives is a community organisation connecting Maldivians, strengthening communities and celebrating the culture and identity we carry wherever we go.

Who we are

Built to bring Maldivians together

MADI (Maldives Association for Development) Initiatives was created from a simple idea. Maldivians should remain connected to their community, culture and identity wherever they are in the world.

What began with a group of Maldivian students in Malaysia is designed to grow into a community platform connecting Maldivians at home and abroad.

Our beginning

It started with a gap

A group of Maldivian students in Malaysia saw an opportunity to create a long-term platform that brings Maldivians together while celebrating the culture and identity they carry.

So they built one.
